Thin and Medium towels are better suited for the beach as they absorb and dry faster, which is the primary purpose of a beach towel. Some people have the misconception that very thick towels are of better quality, which is not always the case, as they often don't last as long.

Our towels are designed to last MANY years if properly washed. Very thick towels are also heavier to carry around and take a longer time to dry. For the beach, we always recommend Thin and Medium Thickness towels.

For best results and MAXIMUM absorbency, we recommend the following care instructions: Machine Wash with cold water and tumble dry on low heat. Wash separately the first time to reduce lint transfer. DO NOT use bleach and DO NOT iron. Importantly, DO NOT use Fabric softeners as they coat the surface of the fabric with a thin layer of chemicals (oils) that makes the fibers hydrophobic (oil and water don't mix).
